Mike Gibbs triumphant return with the KJO

Living legend Mike Gibs directed the KJO in a concert that was both a tribute to Gil Evans and a retrospective of his own work last night. The KJO under Gibbs direction shone as they tackled the sublime textures of both composers work. The next performance by Gibbs and the KJO is Sunday night 22nd April at Kinetic Jazz. This is a concert not to miss. It is a rare treat to have such a jazz master working with a local professional ensemble. Come down and hear these amazing orchestrations live and bath in their glorious resonance.
